Women’s Leadership Today is the trusted resource for learning and collaboration among professional women seeking the skills to further develop their careers. We work to combine practical wisdom, expert guidance, and a community of peers to best serve, create, and develop leaders among women.

OUR AUDIENCE

We began offering training specifically to women to advance their leadership skills back in 2005. Since then we have worked with well over 75,000 women leaders and aspiring leaders dedicated to their personal growth and education. Who reads us? Professionals in every stage of their careers – from entry level to C-suite; young graduates at the start of their journey, seasoned professionals returning to the workforce, and leaders with decades of experience. We tailor to a wide range of women professionals every day.

EDITORIAL STANDARDS

Submissions must meet Women’s Leadership Today quality standards to get published.

Here are our guest post guidelines:

  • Be original, unique, and never published before.
  • Be interesting and well-written.
  • Be authoritative and credible.
    • We put extra emphasis on this. We’re looking for writers with real leadership expertise and experience. We prefer experts with a social media presence when possible.
  • Please avoid being self-promotional in the body of your article.
  • We reserve the right to edit and adapt your article as we see fit and update it in the future for accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • We reserve the right to include calls-to-action to Women’s Leadership Today content, including but not limited to email newsletters, ebooks, and other downloadable content.

Editorial content can use a mixture of these approaches:

  • Conversational tone. Speak to readers as equals.
  • Straight-forward and easy to read.
  • Give perspective.
  • Relate content to real-life situations.
  • Help, not lecture.
  • Have a sense of humor when appropriate.
  • Don’t be afraid to break the rules; think outside the box.
  • Tell stories.
  • Provide helpful lists and how-tos.
  • Be personable.

Length

600-800 words are our target. But the post’s quality is much more important than the length.

We will need a short bio (2 or 3 sentences at max) for you and a photo. Please include a link to your blog and/or Twitter handle. We can’t get too carried away on the links. Google doesn’t like that.

  • Charts, graphs, data visualizations, or anything else that adds value or clarity is encouraged.
